My Story
"Roxanna, what is it that you truly love to do?" I had a wonderful friend look me dead in the eye and ask me that question. What did I truly love to do? I had been working in the Mortgage Industry for 15 years. That seed she planted really made me think long and hard, the answer didn't come to me until much later. You know what they say.."when one door closes..."
I truly enjoy sales, and marketing and have always been a people person, meeting and engaging in conversation. I have had the opportunity to know and work with several, inspirational, and talented women that had their own unique businesses that are very successful. And the thought came to me, I wasn't getting any younger (I think that was the conversation that started this in the first place)!
On my 40 minute commute (one way), I would contemplate the "big question". Then one day I just had a moment of clarity! For years I had worked at several florists as a creative outlet. I loved designing, and my floral designs created lots of smiles. I loved the people, the colors, flowers and the aromas. And it was fun!
After much research and talking with other successful business owners, the seed that was planted months earlier was starting to take root. I decided to open The Basket Boutique. Now my gourmet gift baskets designs are creating smiles! The aromas of the flavored coffees, chocolates, and other goodies fill the air. I get the opportunity to meet many new people and have fun! What is it that I love to do? Design Gift Baskets and create smiles for you!
